My afternoon ritual of scanning various blogs and gossip sites was halted by one gruesome headline. After enduring Ugg boots, ponchos and skorts all in the name of fashion even I, a somewhat confident young woman was reduced to a cold sweat after learning of some of the “Hot Trends” approaching us ladies next season.
The crop top. Once adorned by pre-pubescent girls, the minuscule garment is back. The majority of London’s pretty young things have been road-testing this trend for months, carrying their tiny tummies and trendy outfits to Punk, Camden Lock, Glasto and so on. Daisy Lowe championed the trend and to be fair, the girl pulled it off. Good luck to those brave enough to try it! I’ll be there with you as I’m too much of a fashion slave to ignore this trend! I recommend pairing the crop top with a skating skirt or high waisted mini or jeans. It’s all about balancing proportions.
