Hey again! So im a festival veteran really. From a young age i've been brought to festivals with my parents! (Imagine being the only child at Witness 2001)
So it's no surprise that as i've grown up i've come to love festivals. The vibe, the music, the camping! I've been oxegen-ing it for 4 years now i think. . Its near my house so i can camp and then go home get an hour or two of sleep and a shower on those early hours (6am-8am) while every one is moody, hungover and has run out of cigarettes/food/alcohol!
Some absolute essentials for festivals are; the ubiquitos bog roll, baby wipes, bottled water, headache tablets, alcohol, cigarettes (that's if your a smoker as cigarettes are v.expensive at these events)lots of hoodies and warm clothing that won't mind losing - trust me 18 hours of partying you dont care what u look like! Also i recommend hair & make-up for festivals to be fresh and clean..some catwalk inspired looks would be perfect like above as sported by the gorgeous Gemma and Natasha. Part rock-chick with smudged eyeliner part hippy with a braid swept across the forehead. Useful when hair gets greasy (yuck-but it's gonna happen!)
Style should be functional i.e a dress u can wear with leggings or without, shorts for crowdsurfing ;), and if you're like me, in Ireland where rain can happen wellies are very very handy. Why not invest in a pair of Hunter wellies? Fans include Kate Moss, Fearne Cotton and Peaches Geldof. They are pricy but look good when you might not! Enjoy your festival experience wherever you are!
Big Kiss,
L
